Welcome — I’m Laura, a Communications student at American Public University System and the creator behind Laura’s Story Studio. Returning to school at this stage of life has been one of my most meaningful decisions, and this space reflects that journey. I’m building a portfolio that highlights my growth as a communicator: clear, grounded writing; intentional design; and a commitment to lifelong learning. My work is shaped by the world around me — the quiet rhythm of the Northwoods, the creativity that fills my home, and the belief that stories connect us across backgrounds and experiences. I’m drawn to communication that feels authentic and accessible, and I strive to create work that encourages understanding in a diverse world. This studio is where I bring together the different parts of my life: my academic projects, my developing communication skills, and eventually the creative work my husband and I share — from his art to the everyday stories that unfold in our chicken yard.
